Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat and his wife Jacqueline “Jacki” Labat (right) are planning to divorce, according to her attorney.
Pat and Jacki are pictured with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (left) at Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens’ Black Gay Pride event in August.
The divorce was confirmed by Randall M. Kessler, Esq., who sent the following statement to Fox 5 News on her behalf:
“This was a difficult but necessary decision. As she has always done, Mrs. Labat will move forward with integrity, faith and purpose. She is grateful for her circle of family and friends who are always a source of great support.”
Pat and Jacki share four adult children, according to his official bio.
Sheriff Labat made national headlines recently when former President Donald Trump and his 18 co-defendants were booked into the Fulton County Jail after being indicted on RICO charges in August.
The Fulton County Jail is under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice due to overcrowding. At least 10 inmates have died in the jail so far in 2023.
The jail was home to rappers Young Thug, Gunna, and T.I., as well as former NFL star Ray Lewis and convicted Atlanta child killer Wayne Williams.
