A judge in the Dominican Republic has denied bond for jailed rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. Tekashi69, real name Daniel Hernandez, was arrested on Oct. 15 for assaulting two music producers in a dispute over a woman.
Hernandez, 27, was detained by police after he tried to flee the country on a private jet.

An attorney who is familiar with the criminal justice system in the DR said Hernandez is facing a lengthy detainment because he’s a flight risk.
“Tekashi 6ix9ine can be detained for months, maybe even years,” attorney Neama Rahmani exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday.
“Whenever you’re looking at whether someone should be detained, you look at two factors: risk of flight and danger to the community,” Rahmani explained. “And here you have someone who tried to flee when he had a warrant… Flight is consciousness of guilt.”
According to Hernandez’s unofficial publicist, Akademiks, fans have been protesting outside the courthouse for days. Photos shared by Akademiks on Friday (Oct. 20) show large crowds of people gathered outside the courthouse carrying signs and chanting “Free Tekashi!”
Hernandez thanked his fans for their support in a message posted on his Instagram Story.
“First I want to thank God that I am fine. Thank you for your support. I will return, I love you,” he wrote.
