Yung Bleu was arrested on an assault and battery charge after he body slammed a woman during a child custody dispute.
Bleu, who was born Jeremy Biddle, was arrested on Oct. 15 in Hall County, Georgia and released on a $2,400 bond, TMZ reported.
Bleu, 29, was taken into custody after police responded to a 911 call from a home in Flowery Branch, Ga.
According to a statement from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, “The victim told the responding deputy she and Biddle had been in a custody dispute over a 10-year-old child. Biddle had shown up at her residence unannounced and said he was taking the child to his house. An argument ensued and the victim said Biddle picked her up and threw her to the ground, injuring her right arm and hip.”
The victim is believed to be his estranged wife, Tiemeria Biddle, with whom he shares three children.
In a now-deleted a statement on his Instagram page, Bleu professed his innocence and declared he cherished women.
“I’m off this internet thing but I will take the time to tell all my ladies that may be a fan of bleu. I cherish women and I’m completely innocent. Just no [sic] this about to be one of toughest times to be a fan of mines because ima about to go into another bracket as an OWNER and entrepreneur and people hate and you no! THEY. Hate that.”
The rapper and singer-songwriter is best known for his 2020 single “You’re Mines Still“, which peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100. His viral hit “Miss It” was viewed over 107 million times on YouTube.
