Blue Ivy nearly missed her chance to perform during Beyonce’s Renaissance tour over the summer. According to reports, the 11-year-old was only supposed to perform once.

Beyonce made the revelation in a scene from her new concert documentary, “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” that premiered on Saturday night.

Blue Ivy was only supposed to dance once at a London show. “She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,” Beyonce said in the film.

Blue Ivy and her father, rapper Jay Z, pleaded with Beyonce, who finally gave in.

Unlike Taylor Swift, who posed with fans at her Eras Tour movie premiere, the Houston native skipped the chrome carpet at her own movie premiere in L.A. Invited guests were told to be there on time. But Beyonce was late and slipped in through a back door, avoiding her fans and photographers.

Beyonce made a surprise appearance at Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in NYC on Thursday. And she popped up uninvited to Taylor’s concert movie premiere last month in Los Angeles.

“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce’s influence,” Taylor captioned an Instagram post.

Taylor skipped Beyonce’s movie premiere on Saturday, even though she didn’t perform that night.

The star-studded list of invited guests who walked the movie premiere’s chrome carpet included Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LeToya Luckett, LaTavia Roberson, Halle Bailey, Chloe Bailey, Lori Harvey, Tyler Perry, Ava DuVernay, Lizzo, Issa Rae, Gabrielle Union and more.
