Chance Comanche, 27, was detained in Sacramento and charged with first-degree kidnapping of Marayna Rodgers whose remains were found in a desert area in Henderson, Nevada, police said.
His charges will be upgraded to include murder.
The 23-year-old medical assistant from Washington state was last seen alive in Las Vegas on Dec. 6, according to local CBS affiliate KLAS 8.

The Stockton Kings played against the G League Ignite in Henderson, Nevada on Dec. 5 — the night before Rodgers vanished. Henderson is 15 miles away from Las Vegas.
Comanche has since been released by the Stockton Kings.

In a separate case, Harnden faces a theft charge for allegedly stealing a Rolex watch, per a criminal complaint obtained by 8 News Now.
