This video will warm your heart. A viral TikTok video shows how students at a Las Vegas elementary school reacted to the news that they don't have to wear masks anymore.

After a teacher announced the news, the entire classroom erupted in cheers, dancing and tears. The children couldn't contain their excitement after finally being free of face masks for the first time in 2 years.

Their celebration went viral on Twitter.com where the video gained over 5.5 million views.

While the teacher's announcement seemed spontaneous, half of the kids in the classroom were already mask-free.

Most school districts mandated face masks on schoolchildren during the peak of Covid-19 — even though kids are rarely affected by the Covid-19 virus and deaths among children are less than flu deaths statistically.

"This makes my heart warm," wrote one Twitter user. Another user wrote: "Congratulations children. You're free again."

A third user tweeted: "Kids can be kids again."

Face masks are not mandated for schoolchildren in the red states of Florida and Georgia.
