A popular Georgia cheerleading coach who went viral as TikTok rapper “Miss Williams” has resigned, according to a statement.
Audrianna Williams resigned from Monroe Comprehensive High School on Dec. 15 amid allegations of an “inappropriate relationship” with a high school student.
Her resignation sent shockwaves through the community. Williams has over 663,000 followers on TikTok.
District officials confirmed they were investigating allegations of a “possible inappropriate relationship” between a teacher and a student.
Williams’ resignation came two days after an unnamed teacher at the same high school was placed on administrative leave.
In a statement released Wednesday, the Dougherty County School System said Williams’ resignation was accepted “in lieu of termination”.
“The Dougherty County Board of Education voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Williams in lieu of termination, with the understanding that the district will submit the appropriate reports to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission,” the statement read.
Williams’ back-to-school rap video “What’s Poppin?” went viral on TikTok in 2020. WALB featured the video in a “Good News” segment.
