Jonathan Owens, also known as Simone Biles’ husband, was a pushover on the field during the Green Bay Packers’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday, Jan. 20.

Owens went viral after he was shoved to the ground by 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams in the third quarter.

Twitter/X users said Owens “flopped” in order to get an unnecessary roughness call against Williams.

Fans say Owens flopped because the push wasn’t that hard. But others weren’t so sure.

They pointed out that Owens was the smallest player on the field – second only to the kicker. And he missed tackles that led to easy touchdowns for the 49ers.

One Twitter/X user wrote: “Another missed tackle for Mr. Simone Biles. But again, he’s the prize.”

The snarky comment was in reference to Owens saying he was the “catch” when he and Biles first met.

Owens made the remark during an episode of “The Pivot” podcast in December.

Owens claimed he didn’t know who Biles was when she first “popped up” on a dating app several years ago.

“I swiped her and it said we matched,” Owens laughed.

“I didn’t know who she was, but the first thing that I saw was that she just had a bunch of followers. So in my mind I’m like OK she gotta be good.”

Owens said Biles wasted no time driving 45 minutes to meet him face to face.

Meanwhile, Twitter/X went IN on Owens for disrespecting Biles, who was named the AP 2023 Female Athlete of the Year (for the third time).

Many fans said they had no idea who Jonathan Owens was until Biles introduced him to her fans.

One person wrote: “Get you a man that talks about you the way Travis Kelce speaks about Taylor Swift, not how Jonathan Owens spoke about Simone Biles. She deserves better.”

Another person wrote: “ni**a yo name is ‘Simone biles husband’ how you the catch?”
