A Texas woman reportedly killed her 18-year-old girlfriend for cheating on her and giving her a xesually transmitted disease (STD).
Shania Turner, 24, reportedly believed her girlfriend, Tierra Horn, gave her an STD, so she strangled her and dumped her body near a Texas bayou, according to Houston police.
Officials from Harris County discovered Horn’s body on Jan. 5 around 5:40 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department in a statement on Friday.
An autopsy report revealed Horn died from “compression” to the neck, according to FOX 26 Houston and KHOU-11.
Her death was ruled a homicide.
Turner, of Houston, was arrested on Jan. 11 and charged with murder, officials said.
Family members last heard from Horn on Jan. 2 and reported her missing two days later, FOX 26 Houston reports.
Her sister Rokeisha Calton told Fox 26 Houston that Horn’s phone last pinged from Turner’s home before she vanished. “I want them to pay for what they did,” she told the outlet on Friday.
Another one of Horn’s sisters, told ABC 13 that the relationship between Horn and Turner was “very toxic”.
Skinesha Granville claimed the couple fought frequently when they lived with her at one point.
The sisters often noticed bruises on Horn. But Horn would not admit she was being abused when they asked.
“We are just trying to make sense of it all,” Calton told Click2Houston.
Turner is being held in jail on $100,000 bail, according to KHOU-11.
