Kelly Rowland Speaks On Cannes Incident: ‘I Stood My Ground’

Kelly Rowland spoke out about the viral incident involving a security guard at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Tuesday.

Kelly made headlines when she chastised a female security guard for being rude to her at the “Marcello Mia” movie premiere on Tuesday.

Speaking to the Associated Press in Cannes on Thursday, Kelly said, “The woman knows what happened. I know what happened. And, um, I have a boundary. And I stand by those boundaries. And that is it.”

Kelly also pulled the race card.

“And there were other women that attended that carpet who did not quite look like me. And they didn’t get scolded or pushed off or told to get off. And, um, I stood my ground and she felt like she had to stand hers. But I stood my ground. And that was it.”
