The FBI arrested Washington, D.C. councilmember Trayon White and charged him with felonies, including bribery.

The news of his arrest broke on Sunday, August 18.

White, 40, was arrested in the penthouse at the 1000 South Capitol luxury apartment complex in southeast DC.

The feds charged White with accepting $156,000 in cash bribes to steer millions of dollars in government contracts to 2 contractors.

As part of the evidence, the feds released video screenshots of White accepting envelopes full of cash.

The Ward 8 councilman had his first day in court on Monday, August 19. He was supported by friends as he walked from the federal courthouse to a waiting vehicle.

If found guilty, he could face up to 15 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

White is best known for saying the Rothschild family controls the weather.
