Rapper T.I. hosted his 19th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway for 1,000 families in Atlanta, Ga. on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
T.I. joined Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens to donate 1,000 turkeys at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church.
“Thankful for family, thankful for friends and partners, thankful for just being able to give to the community,” T.I. said to the crowd. “Thankful for the mayor showing up again and thankful for the city.”
Mayor Dickens also said he’s thankful for friends, family and good health.
“And good generous people that want to be able to be supportive in the community like T.I.,” the mayor added.
T.I. was joined by his wife, Exscape singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris (wearing pink hoodie), his sons Messiah and Domani, rapper Young Dro, comedian DC Young Fly, Qri Montague (below), and more.
“What brings me out here today is community, giving back, of course, my brother T.I… We’re at my cousin’s church, Gregory Sutton,” Young Dro (wearing blue apron) said. “It’s good to give back, it’s good to be connected, especially to the young because they’re the ones leading us in the future.”
Young Dro (right) also shared what he was most grateful for this Thanksgiving.
“I’m grateful for family, I’m grateful for the food, I’m grateful for clothes on my back,” Young Dro said. “I remember struggling for a meal and having to go to school just for a meal… to see this right here today, it’s amazing.”
