In November, NBA star Anthony Edwards impressed his female fans by filing for paternity of a baby girl he fathered with an ex-girlfriend.

The Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard fathered the baby girl with Instagram influencer Ayesha Howard. She announced her daughter’s birth on Instagram in a post dated Oct. 22.

Ayesha didn’t have to file for a paternity test, because Anthony rushed to the courthouse before she could get there.

Ayesha claims that genetic testing to confirm paternity was conducted by consent of both parties “and paternity was established on or about December 23, 2024.”

Anthony filed a paternity suit against Ayesha and offered to pay child support in September — before the child was born.

Like most high-value men, Anthony is well aware that their children’s mothers tend to use the family courts system against them.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Ayesha asked a judge to dismiss the paternity suit brought by Anthony, 23.

Ayesha said her daughter was born in Santa Monica, California, and she has lived in the state ever since. She said the case should not be heard before a Georgia judge.

In her motion to dismiss the paternity suit, Ayesha told the court that Georgia does not have jurisdiction over her because she moved to California in August 2023. The Instagram model said she has no plans to move back to Georgia.

She said neither parent has ties to Georgia and therefore the case should be heard in California where the courts are more favorable to mothers.

Ayesha claims that Anthony’s lawyers know that Georgia judges are more favorable to men. The average child support payment in Georgia is around $2,000 a month – regardless of the father’s income.

In her filing, Ayesha said Anthony demonstrated a “bad faith approach” in the case by attempting to engage in “forum-shopping”. She claims he disregards the “fundamental principles of jurisdiction, due process and fairness.”

However, Anthony’s lawyer dismissed Ayesha’s claims that his client filed in Georgia to keep his child support payments low.

The lawyer said Anthony is a good father who only wants what’s best for his children.

The attorney said Georgia was the proper venue for the case to be filed. He said Ayesha’s business was registered in Georgia and her LLC license shows as being current in the state.

Therefore she has established jurisdiction in Georgia even if she lives in another state.

In addition to her daughter, Ayesha shares a young son named Jason with rapper Lil Baby.

Shannon also shares a son named Krue with Chicago drill rapper Chief Keef. Both Chief Keef and Lil Baby are among Anthony’s favorite rappers. He also listens to rappers Drake, Kodak Black and Kendrick Lamar.

Shannon doesn’t seem to mind sharing her man with multiple baby mamas. She attends all of Anthony’s home games where she sits courtside with her daughter. She posted an Instagram slideshow of photos taken at a recent NBA game.
