Wendy, 60, appeared in good spirits despite referring to the Coterie facility in Lenox Hill as “a luxury prison.”

Wendy wore a bright pink Versace robe, while peeking out a large window in her apartment and flashing a big smile.

On Wednesday, the Coterie facility called NYPD and filed a police report claiming Wendy’s niece Alex Finney evaded staff by sneaking Wendy out of the building.

Wendy is not allowed to leave the 5th floor memory unit without the staff’s permission.

In 2022, Wendy was placed in a guardianship after Wells Fargo froze her bank accounts and expressed concerns that a family member was making large withdrawals and taking advantage of her diminished mental capacity.

Wendy is due to appear on ABC’s “The View” on Friday, March 14, in her first return to TV since a controversial documentary aired on Lifetime Network.

On Monday, Wendy called police to escort her from the facility where she has lived for 8 months. Video obtained by TMZ showed cops loading Wendy into an ambulance.

She was whisked to a psychiatric hospital, where she reportedly scored a perfect 10/10 on 2 psych examinations.

Wendy has been battling claims that she’s suffering from degenerative frontotemporal dementia and progressive aphasia.

However, Wendy’s friends say the medication she’s taking for dementia allows her to think clearly. They fear that she will deteriorate mentally if she stops taking her medications.

Friends say she has a history of noncompliance with her medicine when she is not in the facility.
