
Mexican TikTok influencer Valeria Márquez was fatally shot during a livestream at her beauty salon in Zapopan, Mexico on Tuesday, May 13.
Valeria was in her beauty salon when an unknown male arrived outside the shop on a motorcycle. A witness said the man was there to deliver a small package.
Valerie said in Spanish, “He’s coming.”
She then said “Hello,” and the man asked if she was Valeria.
Valeria then reached over to mute the sound on the video. Moments later, she grabbed her abdomen before collapsing on the counter.
The gunman fired several shots at Valeria then fled on a motorcycle.
An unknown woman turned off the livestream video. The woman reportedly worked in the shop with Valeria.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said the killer will be in custody soon.

“An investigation is underway to first find those responsible and the motive behind this situation,” President Sheinbaum said in her press conference on Thursday.
Sheinbaum said Mexico’s security cabinet is working to solve the murder case with prosecutors.
“Our solidarity goes out to her family,” she added.
