Sean Combs asked Cassie Ventura’s husband Alex Fine to leave the courtroom during her testimony on Tuesday.

Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie, took the stand to testify against him in his sex-trafficking and racketeering trial, which began on May 5.

If convicted, Combs could spend 20 years behind bars.

Before Cassie took the stand, Combs’ lawyers asked District Judge Arun Subramanian to ban Cassie’s husband, Alex Fine, from the courtroom while she testifies.

Defense lawyers say they want Alex Fine to leave the courtroom while Cassie testifies because they may want to call him as a witness later in the trial.

The defense claims Fine has relevant information regarding an alleged rape of Cassie by Sean Combs in the the fall of 2018.

Fine allegedly sent Combs a text message saying he “wanted to beat the f word out of him.”

But prosecutors argued that Fine is part of Cassie’s emotional support system. Cassie is eight months pregnant with their third child – a boy. They share two daughters.

The judge said Fine can remain in the courtroom – but not sit through all of her testimony.
