Law enforcement officers captured Louisiana fugitive Antoine Massey at a residence in New Orleans on Friday, June 27. He was taken into custody without resistance, according to reports.

Detectives and agents with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, Department of Homeland Security, FBI, and other agencies worked closely to locate and arrest Massey.

Massey, 33, was among 10 inmates who escaped from the Orleans Parish Correctional Facility on May 16, 2025.

Law Enforcement personnel from various local, state, and federal agencies continue to hunt down remaining fugitive Derrick Groves, 27.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his capture.

At the time of his escape, Massey was jailed for Domestic Abuse Battery Involving Strangulation, Theft of a Motor Vehicle and a Parole Violation.

Massey will be transported to a maximum-security state prison under heavy guard. Additional charges may be pending.

More than a dozen family members and friends of the other escaped inmates were arrested and charged with obstruction.
