Meagan Good’s ex-husband, Pastor DeVon Franklin has found happiness again. DeVon filed for divorce from Meagan in 2021 after nine years of marriage.
Their divorce was finalized in June 2022.
In February, the 47-year-old preacher, producer, author, and motivational speaker proposed to fitness trainer Maria Castillo.
On August 2, they tied the knot during a lakeside ceremony at Casa Lago in Beverly Hills, CA.
The couple met on Easter 2024 through a mutual friend. They made a love connection over Easter brunch, and realized they were meant to be together as man and wife.
“We truly believe God brought us together. When we reflect on all that we each went through, individually, and the timing of our meeting, it feels like divine timing,” Devon tells Essence.
“There was no striving, no pretending, just a sense of safety and being fully seen,” Maria added.
“She is love,” DeVon said. “She is, to me, the personification of love.”
“We pray together, we seek God for guidance, and we’ve learned that love rooted in Christ is patient, selfless, and enduring,” Maria tells Essence. “Our faith reminds us that marriage is a covenant, not just a celebration, and that we’re building something sacred.”
