President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted a ghostly Halloween party for children at the White House on Thursday, Oct. 30.

The Trumps emerged from the White House’s southern entrance to the sounds of Michael Jackson’s Halloween classic “Thriller.”

Trump hosted the Halloween extravaganza just 2 hours after returning from a trip to Asia.
Dozens of carved pumpkins decorated the White House’s dramatic staircase.

Melania, who oversees the White House holiday decorations, handed out hard candy and giant chocolate bars to the children.
I just checked CNN, MSNBC, and NBC.
They're not covering this.
First Lady Melania Trump just comforted a little girl in tears frightened by Halloween decorations.
Can you imagine how much press this would've gotten if it was Michelle?

In addition to handing out candy, the president autographed his magazine covers for children who wanted one.
The creative costumes ranged from McDonald’s babies to mini Trumps.

Two babies in a buggy designed as a drive-thru McDonald’s stole the show. The president and the first lady laughed as the McDonald’s babies were wheeled in front of them.
This design deserves another cookie. pic.twitter.com/4nA7QXuqV4

In a post on his Truth Social app, Trump addressed the ongoing government shutdown.
“[Democrats] want Trillions of Dollars to be taken from our Healthcare System and given to others who are not deserving – People who have come into our Country illegally,” the president wrote.
“That will hurt American citizens and Republicans will not let it happen. It is now time for Republicans to play their ‘TRUMP CARD’ and go for what is called the Nuclear Option – get rid of the filibuster and get rid of it NOW!”
He just LOVES to have fun with the kiddos, and guess what? He did it AGAIN! ???
