“Family Matters” star Darius McCrary was extradited to Michigan on Wednesday, Oct. 29, and booked in the Oakland County Jail in Pontiac.

On Oct. 5, border patrol officers arrested McCrary near the US-Mexico border on a bench warrant for failing to pay child support.

He spent three weeks in a San Diego jail while awaiting extradition to Michigan.

Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Amanda Shelton revoked McCrary’s bond in August 2024 when he failed to appear in court.

The actor is charged with failing to pay nearly $75,000 in past-due child support for his oldest son, Zecheriah, who is now 18 years old and has access to a trust fund.

“His son is a trust fund baby and the only beneficiary but his mom wants the money,” McCrary’s rep claimed.

Zecheriah’s mother told the court McCrary has repeatedly failed to pay child support. She said he only saw his son once between 2016 and 2022 during supervised visitation.

The boy’s mother said the actor did not make any attempts to see his son between 2016 and October 2022.

McCrary’s attorney Jermaine Wyrick wrote in an August 2024 motion that McCrary has a “strong bonded and loving relationship” with his son, and that McCrary was his primary caretaker in early childhood.
