Rasheeda Frost’s husband, Kirk Frost, penned an emotional open letter to the son he fathered out of wedlock with a stripper.
The “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star wrote the letter to his 9-year-old son Kannon Frost whom he fathered when he and Rasheeda were going through a rough patch in their marriage.
He reassured Kannon that he and Rasheeda loved him despite cheating on his wife with Kannon’s mother, Jasmine Washington, 36.
In 2016, Kirk confirmed he was expecting a baby with the former stripper while he was married to Rasheeda.
Rasheeda, 49, has dated Kirk, 56, since she was in high school. They were married in 1999. Rasheeda instantly became stepmom to his other children.
There were rumors of infidelity even before Kirk met Jasmine. But Rasheeda reportedly had her share of sidepieces as well.
Jasmine’s pregnancy became a scandalous storyline on Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta and dominated social media posts.
Social media users criticized Rasheeda for accepting Kannon into their family and treating him like a son.
Rasheeda and Kirk also share biological sons Ky, 25, and Karter, 12.
In addition to Kannon, he has 4 other children from previous relationships including his only daughter Kelsie Frost.
On Sunday, October 12, Kirk wrote an open letter to Kannon letting him know that he is loved no matter what the Internet says.
“I’m sorry @kannonxfrost. Most women want me to be a dead beat to you. Also not be a father, not pay child support, just not be in your life at all. But sorry I don’t know how to do that. You came at a time when me and my wife was going through a bad season, but we’re making it thru. I know… @rasheeda gets crucified for loving you & making sure I remain a good father. Which I think is crazy. But since you asking questions, we just want to make sure you know that we love you.”
