Wendy Osefo broke her silence after she and her husband, Eddie, were arrested on insurance fraud charges. “The Real Housewives of Potomac” star took to Instagram on Sunday to thank her fans for their support.
The mom-of-3 posted two glamour shots of herself wearing a black gown with plunging neckline. She captioned the images: “And through it all, GOD remains faithful. Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful [praying hands emoji].”
She also urged fans to “tune into Bravo on Sunday for a new episode of the show” — an indication that she still has a job temporarily.
Wendy and Eddie, both 41, were arrested in Westminster, Maryland on Oct. 9, for insurance fraud stemming from a home burglary they reported in 2024.
She faces 16 charges of defrauding three insurance companies in excess of $300. Eddie faces 18 misdemeanor and felony charges.
Tamra Judge, cast member on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” recently revealed that one of Wendy’s neighbors sent her a DM after the alleged bruglary.
“Her neighbor slid into my DM,” Tamara said in a podcast on Oct. 14.
“Basically, they all got notices on their front door or in their mailbox that there had been a burglary at Wendy and Eddie’s house. And instantly, the whole entire neighborhood was thinking, ‘This is insurance fraud,'” she said.
Wendy is best known for her work as a political commentator for The Hill political blog and as a reality TV star.
She stepped down from her position as a professor at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut last week.
