Shannon Sharpe is upset with friends who stopped taking his phone calls when he was sued by a former girlfriend.

Shannon’s former girlfriend filed a $50 million lawsuit against him alleging s–ual assault. They reportedly settled out of court for $20 million.

ESPN parted ways with Shannon in July before the settlement was announced in September.

Shannon aired out his former friends in a recent episode of his “Nightcap” podcast with co-hosts Ochocinco and Joe Johnson.

The former NFL star expressed his gratitude to Ochocinco for sticking by his side. He expressed how hard it is to trust people who ghosted him.

“I don’t want y’all to have the wrong impression, but I’m just very guarded now… There are very few people that you can actually trust,” he said.

“There are so many people, Ocho and Joe, that used to call, that used to text. I ain’t heard from them since this happened,” he said. “I don’t wish this on anybody, but what it did do was it really showed me who’s really, really there.”

Shannon is also upset that party invitations have stopped coming.

“There are a lot of people on the peripheral, when things were going well, we were at the apex. Getting invited to everything – I’m talking ’bout ain’t called. Ain’t called!”

The NFL Hall of Famer praised sports analyst Stephen A. Smith (left) who stayed in his corner despite others abandoning him in his time of need.

However, social media users criticized Shannon for being the cause of his own problems. They told him to dry his tears and man up.

One Instagram user wrote: “Brooooo you are not a victim!!!!! You got down with that young YT girl after you was warned multiple times. On your own platform.”

Another person wrote: “You 50 and let a child trick you out your bag and career. Whose fault is that?”

A third person commented, “Sometimes ppl distance themselves from bad ppl. they didn’t know you was out here wildin’ like that.”
