Draymond Green was ready to to throw it all away over a fan who kept calling him “Angel Reese” during the Golden State Warriors 124-106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.
The incident happened just before halftime when the fan, who was sitting in an expensive seat at courtside, heckled Draymond who was called for a foul on Pelicans forward Herb Jones.
Instead of lining up for Herb’s free throw attempts, Draymond walked over to the fan at courtside and confronted him.
The fan, later identified as Sam Green, stood up and stretched his arms to the side while Draymond yapped in his face.
An NBA official got between them and led Draymond away.
After the game, Sam Green told The Associated Press that he mocked Draymond and called him “Angel Reese” because the Warriors star missed shots while grabbing seven rebounds.

Angel Reese was taunted by WNBA fans for grabbing multiple rebounds off her missed shots and inflating her rebound stats.
But the Chicago Sky star turned the taunts into profit as she trademarked “MeBounds” during her second year in the league.
Draymond claimed Sam Green yelled profanity at him and called him a woman.
“He just kept calling me a woman,” Draymond told a reporter in the locker room. “It was a joke at first, but you can’t keep calling me a woman. I got 4 kids with one on the way. You can’t keep calling me a woman.”

Sam Green denied yelling profanity at the 4X NBA champion.
“I wasn’t using profanity and for him to walk 12 feet off the court to come and get in my face like that, it was a little unnerving,” he told the AP.
Sam was given a warning and allowed to remain in his expensive courtside seat. Courtside seats for NBA games can range from a few thousand dollars to well over $100,000.

Draymond is pictured with his wife, Hazel Renee, mother of 3 of his 5 children. They are expecting their 3rd child to be delivered any day now.
They each brought a child from previous relationships into their marriage.
Hazel Renee works hard behind the scenes to keep her husband calm emotionally.

“Possibly entering big mama phase,” Hazel Renee wrote in a post on Instagram last week.
Draymond has been in hot water with the league multiple times. He was fined $25,000 in 2022 for “directing obscene language toward a fan.”
