Tia Mowry introduced her new boyfriend in since-deleted posts on her Instagram Story. One image shows a Caucasian man with a tattoo sleeve gripping the base of her neck while she sticks her tongue out at the camera.
Tia’s fans were disappointed that she seems to have given up on Black men after divorcing Cory Hardrict, the father of her 2 children.
One fan wrote on X (Twitter):
“You guys created this narrative out thin air because you weirdly have this bizarre fixation that biracial people dating your race means somehow you’re “winning”. how do you expect her to hate white men/people when her father is white too? work on your low racial esteem.”
Last year, Tia dipped her toe into the lady pond. She introduced her girlfriend in a clip on Instagram.
The clip shows the 47-year-old actress sharing a baby cucumber with a woman in a restaurant, while their friends look confused.
She captioned the video: “Soft launch. Ya’ll ready to meet my boo?”
Tia previously opened up to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” about the moment she realized her marriage was over.
“At the end of the day, it’s about self-love. When you really start to work on yourself, love yourself, know your value, know your worth. Then all of a sudden there’s this awakening. It’s not easy, it’s a hard journey, but at the end of the day, I feel like it’s so, so worth it.”
Tia compared marriage to a college curriculum. She said you spend years studying, then you graduate. She said divorce is like graduating from college. “And at the end, there’s a graduation, there’s a celebration.”
“I feel like people look at – when they look at marriage, that success equals longevity. But no, at the end of they day, it’s – are they happy? Are they Thriving? Are they growing? I feel like that is what’s more important… It’s about are you happy? Because life is really short.”
