Rapper-turned-podcaster Cam’ron asked Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton why he only hangs out with white women.

The discussion came up during Tyrese’s appearance on a recent episode of “It Is What It Is” podcast.

“How do you feel when people be like, ‘He only be with white girls?'” Cam’ron asked.

Tyrese, who is biracial, laughed and said he grew up around white people and his fiancée, Jade Jones, grew up in predominantly white Iowa. He said the people he hangs with reflects the environment he grew up in.

Tyrese (pictured left with Anthony Edwards) never tried to assimilate into the black community because that’s not his life experience.

Tyrese clarified a viral video that shows him in a car with a group of white women. He explained the women were his fiancée’s sister and her friends.

“So, people killing me. I’m like, these are just our people from growing up,” he said.

Tyrese announced his engagement to Jade Jones in an Instagram post in July 2025. “The place where our story started, and where our next chapter begins,” the caption read.
