Fans expressed outrage after Meagan Good revealed the real reason she rehomed her beloved cat.
Many pet owners can’t imagine parting with their fur babies. But the “Divorce in the Black” actress said she had a good reason to give up her beloved pet.
During an appearance on the “Picture This” podcast with Jonica Booth, Meagan was asked about something she thought she couldn’t live without, before realizing she could.
“My cat,” she replied. “‘Cause I had to get rid of my little cat. His name is Bam Bam.”
Meagan said the cat had to go because her man – and his dogs – are her first priority.
“The pups came with Jonathan [Majors],” she added, referring to her husband. “So there was two pups, and then we got a third one. And by the third one, Bam Bam was real upset, and Bam Bam started using the bathroom in the bed.”
Meagan, 44, said Jonathan’s third aggressive dog breed pushed Bam Bam “over the edge.”
“So you chose the puppy over Bam Bam?” Jonica asked her.
“I chose the man,” Meagan responded.
Since Bam Bam departed their home, Jonathan and Meagan have welcomed a fourth Belgian Malinois puppy.
Belgian Malinois are the preferred breed for police K9 training. They are notoriously aggressive and are not suitable in homes with children and small pets.
Cat lovers were furious over Meagan’s lackadaisical response that she chose a man over her cat.
“Giving up your pet for someone is not the flex people think it is,” one person wrote in the comments on YouTube.
Another person wrote: “The cat story is wild. Disgusting behavior from a pet owner. ‘I chose the man’ girl please.”
A third person commented: “That’s not human at all. Which I don’t know what’s worse than having that ‘man’. Disgusting.”
A fourth person wrote: “I don’t like her anymore. She’s so weird for this.”
