Most good decent people have a moral line they will not cross. That line was crossed on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday when guest host Karrueche Tran (Chris Brown’s on-again, off-again concubine) disrespected Beyonce and Jay Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy. Karrueche mentioned Blue Ivy’s unkempt hair days in a skit which didn’t go over well with the BET audience or Black Twitter, the monolithic, influential collective of opinionated black users on Twitter.com.
The skit was titled “Top Six Things Blue Ivy Thought At The VMAs.”
Karrueche, affecting a child-like voice said, “I really did wake up like this, because my parents never comb my hair.”
As loud boos filtered through the audience, Karruche added, “Sorry Blue! I love you.”
But it was too late.
Black Twitter dragged Karruche so unmercifully that she was forced to apologize and affirm her allegiance to Beyonce, Blue Ivy and Bey’s faithful army of Stans who call themselves the Beyhive.
Normally I would tack on a few examples of tweets dragging poor Karreuche on Twitter. But the tweets are so ruthless and vicious that I thought it was best not to. But you get the picture.
