If you noticed the lack of gay sex scenes in ABC’s popular scripted series How to Get Away With Murder, you’re not alone.
There were no gay scenes in Wednesday’s episode of the legal thriller that debuted in 2014 and stars Oscar nominee Viola Davis as a sex starved law professor with murderous intentions.
After openly gay writer/producer Peter Nowalk told viewers to “get used to” seeing 2 men kissing on his show, ABC has apparently caved to the pressure from irate viewers and scrubbed all gay scenes from the show.
Nowalk used a character named Connor (played by Jack Falahee) to push his gay agenda.
“I feel really lucky that I get to write someone who is a young man who is very sexually active and very confident, has no issues about his sexuality,” said Nowalk of the sexually promiscuous “Connor” character.
But viewers took offense to the over-the-top gay sex scenes being forced down their throats. They took to social media in droves to remind Nowalk, producer Shonda Rhimes and ABC that homosexual males are still the #1 risk group for HIV transmission in the country.
In an interview with E!, Rhimes (pictured above) said: “Writing the gay characterization and writing some real gay sex into a network show is to right the wrong of all of the straight sex that you see on TV. Because I didn’t see that growing up, and I feel like the more people get used to two men kissing, the less weird it will be for people.””
But viewers pushed back by emailing and calling ABC Network with their demands to curb the gay sex scenes or lose viewership. And ABC listened.

The man shot and killed early Friday by one of two men who came to a Stone Mountain-area home to sell an English Bulldog had recently lured other online sellers to the house to rob them, DeKalb County police said.
The shooting happened days after Bud and June Runion of Marietta went to Telfair County to make a car purchase arranged through Craigslist. Their bodies were found Monday. GBI autopsy results showed they were shot in the head with a small caliber gun.
DeKalb police said the latest shooting happened just after midnight Friday at a home in the 5000 block of Fairforest Drive near South Hairston Road.
Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said that two Winder men, one of them a breeder of English Bulldogs who had advertised dogs for sale for $2,000, went to the Fairforest Drive home to complete the sale.
Parish said the breeder, identified in the DeKalb police incident report as 40-year-old Walter Gonzalez, was initially hesitant to meet the buyer late at night at the home, but did so after the suspect offered him an additional $500.
When the breeder and a second Winder man, Salvador Burgos, arrived with the dog, they saw the suspect and another man standing outside by the garage.
“Mr. Gonzalez got out of the vehicle and met with the suspect near the vehicle,” the incident report states. “After Mr. Gonzalez showed the suspect the dog, the suspect drew his weapon on him.”
According to the report, the suspect, whose name has not been released, then demanded that Burgos get out of the vehicle.
“Mr. Burgos stated that as he moved over from the driver’s side to the passenger side of the vehicle, he drew his firearm and fired upon the suspect,” the report states.
Gonzalez and Burgos told police they left the scene because they were afraid that the other man that was with the suspect would return, but stopped a short distance away and called police.
Responding officers found the suspect dead in the front yard of the home.
Parish said detectives have linked the dead suspect and that address to four additional cases where victims advertising items for sale online were robbed, including a Jan. 22 incident involving a victim trying to sell an iPhone and an incident Wednesday where another person selling a dog was robbed.
At least one of the four additional cases involved an item advertised on Craigslist, Parish said.
She said two of the previous victims only contacted police after seeing news reports about the overnight shooting.

i don’t remember my first time on sr. i just remember some epic battles and arse whoopings over the years. posters have come and gone, and I’ve lurked more than actually posted. i don’t like it when folks get into it cuz i like to keep it light and laugh to make the workday go by.
west coast chick, divine brown, brown sugar, east point vet, and kdub (i think she had another name way back then) are a few of the posters i used to post regularly with. there’s others but i can’t remember all the names

oh, that girl that was into voodoo…something about black candles…was it choco? i remember when all that ugliness went down. i would leave a for awhile and come back when i noticed things had settled down again.
i became a dedicated lurker right around the time the whole “Igo” drama went off the rails

hubby and i drove all the way down from Lawrenceville (about 45 minutes outside the city) to go to jd’s restaurant. them niggas had the nerve to serve me CANNED asparagus. it looked like green baby shyt on the plate. i asked for the manager and the “head chef” came out talmbout they ran out of the fresh asparagus earlier!
damn liar! they neva had no damn FRESH asparagus to begin with. we told them to take the whole meal away and went somewhere else to eat. plus all they had was his ol nasty vodka (was it “Three Olives” or some mess like that). they didn’t any other brand of vodka! cheap ass. i was glad it shut down.

I think Taste of Atlanta, Taste of Alpharetta and each suburb/city probably has their own. But, I don’t like them because they only bring out a limited selection of their entire offering and it usually isn’t what I would order, if I went there. #pickyeater But used to LOVE Jermaine Dupri’s spot…he served turkey bacon never pork…and every healthy alternative to regular food. I was sad to see it close so abruptly.
Chipotle Lime Sticky wings, cheesy spinach and artichoke dip, Mega burgers with homemade onion rings, honey roasted carrots, chili (not sure which meat yet), and some kind of dessert- still game day type of food but i think that’ll be my menu

I can understand. It’s been restaurant week here since last week.It really didn’t make a difference to me because I (well my date rather) spent regular price for my meal (we went to Chima). I prefer lamb and he’s a big meat eater- I just can’t subject my stomach to it. So I feel you. I was just thinking that if you went you could kinda get an idea of what the restaurant has to offer. But hey, they way my dietary restrictions are set up I don’t blame you.

I’m not a strict vegetarian or vegan…like I was many years ago. I will incorporate some meat into a stew or something for flavor. And I will wear leather and fur…so no quams about killing animals either.

I’m trying to get to this point. My main proteins are poultry and seafood. Lamb is a once in a while and I only do beef/steak when my body gives me the “hey girl, we need more iron!”
Hair, I’m using a recipe found on Karnal Dish (change the K to a C) I follow the chef on IG and her stuff is delicious. She was just on Dr. O giving a healthier version of the wings

I liked the show at the beginning but it is way too slimy at every level for me. I turned it off and don’t plan to ever return…not into porn….
At first I tried to ignore it and focus on the story but then it became overwhelming. there was a gay scene in almost every episode and after watching 7 episodes i stopped. Watching two men kiss or whatever is something i find disgusting. do i go about hating and killing people whose lifestyle i dont agree with? No. But to me a gay sex scene is as disgusting as watching someone eat shit. I usually fast forward but one can never be perfect at it. Plus the other characters are also confusing and almost inconsistent. the law professor cheats on her husband carelessly (most powerful women won’t do this) and gets furious at her husband for doing the same. The story line is a bit dull as well, i cant wait for GOThrones to come back
