ESPN anchor Robert Flores is not a fan of Aussie “rapper” Iggy Azalea. The anchor for ESPN’s SportsCenter and ESPNEWS was reporting on Young’s near-death experience with a Dolphin. Afterwards, Flores quipped “While dolphins are trying to kill you, your girlfriend’s trying to kill hip hop.”
Young was not amused. The 29-year-old LA Lakers star did what most young people today do when they have a grievance with someone else: they pick up the phone and call them they take their grievances to Twitter.com.
“I’m pretty sure we going to run into each other soon,” Young tweeted menacingly to Flores. In follow-up tweets, Young added: “[your] job is to talk about sports not what me and my chick got going on… so off the fact you that was cool to say, don’t sit right with me so we got a problem… Since these Sports Channels want to like they BET we shall see… Its cool to talk about me all day any day I find with that, I can take a joke .. That what I do joke, but I didn’t see the point of that…”
How sad is that these young athletes get a quality secondary education, and yet they can’t form a coherent sentence?
Despite all the tough talk from Young, Flores’s feathers remained unruffled.
