Once again, CNN has come under fire for its blatantly biased reporting on black American culture.
While covering the success of the biopic Straight Outta Compton, CNN Anchor Ashleigh Banfield — whom many consider to be an unrepentant racist — noted the lack of violence at the theaters showing the film.
There was an instantaneous outcry from many of Banfield’s fellow journalists and former co-workers who called her out for making a blatantly racist stereotype.
“Really CNN???? Disgraceful,” tweeted former CNN/HLN Anchor Richelle Carey.
“See that’s that bull—,” ESPN’s Jemele Hill tweeted angrily.
When a Twitter.com follower asked Hill, “how’s that BS? She stated a fact… No violence is good.” — Hill responded, “Why would be there be an expectation of violence in the first place? Based of what?”
And in an earlier tweet, Hill responded to a tweet about a theater manager checking bags for guns: “Even though the tragic movie theatre shootings were done by…nevermind.”
There’s a reason why CNN fired outspoken black reporters like Carey and Roland Martin, while keeping a milquetoast boot licker like Don Lemon on the payroll.
