Chelsea O’Donnell, the 17-year-old daughter of comedienne Rosie O’Donnell, has apparently run away from home.
Nyack, NY police have been searching for Chelsea in the Rockland County area since Sunday. She went missing on Tuesday, August 11.
Chelsea, who suffers from an unspecified mental illness, reportedly stopped taking her medicine. Police do not suspect foul play in her disappearance.
O’Donnell, 53, tweeted a photo of her daughter Chelsea and her beloved pet dog, writing, “chelsea and her dog bear – last seen in nyack ny.”
A statement on O’Donnell’s website reads:
“She was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women’s grey converse sneakers and a black backpack. Chelsea has a large tattoo on her right side of a dream catcher with the word ‘Breathe.’ She left home with her 6 month old therapy dog named Bear … Chelsea stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention.”
O’Donnell has 4 other adopted kids, who have been raised by multiple moms. O’Donnell — who has been “married” twice to women — divorced her 2nd wife, Michelle Rounds, in 2012. O’Donnell and Rounds are currently in court battling over custody of O’Donnell’s youngest adopted child, Dakota, 2.
O’Donnell recently welcomed a baby with singer and songwriter Sophie B. Hawkins, 47. Both Hawkins and O’Donnell deny being in a relationship.
