The man who tried in vain to get a meeting with Donald Trump by climbing his iconic Trump Tower was charged with criminal trespass and reckless endangerment on Thursday.
Stephen Rogata, 19, used suction cups to hoist himself up the side of Trump’s 68-story glass tower in Manhattan on Wednesday. His goal was to climb up to Trump’s luxury 2-story penthouse above the 50th floor.
But he never made it past the 21st floor.
NYPD officers removed a large pane of glass and waited for Rogata to get close enough to grab him.
Video shared all over social media shows 2 officers calmly talking to Rogata before snatching him through the window.
Rogata was taken to Bellevue hospital for a psyche eval.
The Great Falls, Va. resident uploaded a video to Facebook before traveling to Manhattan.
In the video, Rogata described himself as a “private researcher” and requested an audience with the dapper billionaire developer.
“The reason I climbed your tower is to get your attention,” he said.
