Rap mogul Tip “T.I.” Harris got a few groupies together when they surrounded him at a gas station on Atlanta’s southwest side.
The single father of 7 was no doubt mindful of the recent high profile carjackings involving celebrities and politicians in that same general area.
Tip may be a world famous rapper, but there are times when he wants his privacy.
Normally Tip has a crowd of hard legs with him to keep him safe. But on this particular day, he was alone.
Tense moments like this is what inspired T.I. to record his 2005 hit “U Don’t Know Me”.
- Don’t be a groupie keep it movin
Shawty you don’t know me
Hey I ain’t trippin but the truth is
Really you don’t know me
Yea you know they call me T.I.
But you don’t know me
You be hatin and I see why
‘Cause you don’t know me
