The turmoil in President Trump’s cabinet continues.
White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci is out of a job. The 49-year-old investment fund manager and banker lost his government job just days after his wife, Deidre Ball, filed for divorce after 3 years of marriage.
Scaramucci has only been on the job for 10 days. The news comes days after White House press secretary Sean Spicer and chief of staff Reince Preibus turned in their resignations.
Newly appointed Chief of Staff General John Kelly made the decision to boot Scaramucci after a disastrous profanity-laced interview he gave to the New Yorker magazine.
“Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced Monday afternoon. “Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give chief of staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”

Kelly accepted Scaramucci’s resignation on Monday. Kelly and President Trump were unhappy that Scaramucci was speaking on behalf of the president when he gave the interview.
Washington DC insiders say Scaramucci’s undying devotion to the most powerful man in the world destroyed his marriage to Deidre, who is his 2nd wife.
Page Six first reported Deidre was filing for divorce due to Scaramucci’s “naked political ambition”.
According to the Washington Examiner, the “insane world” of Washington DC politics is not the life the Long Island housewife wants for the couple’s two children.
The Inquisitor reports that Scaramucci “pretty much rearranged his entire life, including his marriage,” to be with Trump.
According to Page Six Scaramucci began preparing for his position in the White House earlier this year. In January, he sold off his ownership stake in the lucrative investment firm Skybridge Capital to a Chinese conglomerate in a deal that netted $200 million.
The sale drew the attention of federal regulators who are going over the transaction with a fine tooth comb, looking for anything that could pose a risk to national security.
Scaramucci recently took a position as chief strategy officer at a bank across the street from the White House. Politico.com reports he has been on unpaid leave at the bank since the day he took the job on June 19. He has not received a penny of his $172,000 salary.
CNN reports that Scaramucci’s job at the bank may also be history.
In his financial disclosure filed with the Office of Government Ethics in June, Scaramucci listed his assets at $85 million. His assets include investments, real estate holdings, a chain of smoothie shops, and a minority stake in the New York Mets worth $5 million.
