The LGBT community is furious with actor Kevin Spacey for the way he came out of the closet on Sunday.
Spacey apologized to actor Anthony Rapp who was 14 when he allegedly molested him 31 years ago. Spacey also came out of the closet in a tweet on Sunday.
Actor Billy Eichner reacted with outrage at the timing of Spacey’s apology. Calling the apology “disgusting” and “dangerous,” Eichner blasted Spacey on Twitter.com, saying the House of Cards actor “invented something that has never existed before: a bad time to come out.”
At issue is Spacey conveniently linking his homosexuality to child molestation, because he knew the liberal media would elevate his gay lifestyle over his predatory behavior.
Many are comparing the news media’s negative response to Harvey Weinstein and the almost glowing coverage of Spacey.
Eichner accused Spacey of doing serious damage to the LGBT community.
He tweeted: “The Spacey statement is truly disgusting, irresponsible and dangerous.”
