Third time’s the charm. Usher Raymond finally found a buyer for his first house, a 7 bedroom, 10 bath mansion in Alpharetta, just north of Atlanta.
The 39-year-old singer purchased the 10,823 sq ft house from his former boss, LaFace Records honcho L.A. Reid, for $1.2 million in 1999.
The manse located in the affluent Country Club of the South gated community boasts a heated pool, summer outdoor kitchen, and children’s play area with treehouse.
Usher converted his state-of-the-art recording studio into a multi-level guest house featuring 2 additional bedrooms, a kitchen and dance studio.
The father-of-2 listed the house twice over the years but he had trouble finding a buyer. He previously listed the home for $1.9 million in July 2008, but took it off the market 2 months later. It was relisted for $2.4 million in July of this year.
The new buyer gets a steal for $1.8 million.
