Hundreds of survivors and their families attended a Grenfell Tower memorial service at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on Wednesday. The 24-story public housing tower fire claimed 71 lives on June 14, 2017.
The royal family including Prince William, his wife Kate and brother Prince Harry joined the survivors and rescue workers at the memorial.
Also in attendance was Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.
Noticeably absent was Prince Harry’s fiancée, Meghan Markle, who stuck around long enough to announce their engagement before she hopped a plane and flew to Los Angeles, where she’s been ever since.
How embarrassing and humiliating for Prince Harry.
Meghan is expected to return to London to spend the Christmas holidays with Queen Elizabeth at Sandringham. It will be the first time a non-wife of a royal has ever spent the holidays with the queen.
