Bobby Brown has offered his assistance to Nick Gordon’s girlfriend after police arrested Gordon on suspicion of battery domestic violence on Saturday.
Gordon, the ex-boyfriend of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston’s late daughter Bobbi Kristina, was taken into custody in Seminole, Florida on Saturday after police officers responded to a domestic disturbance at Gordon’s home.
Officers found found Gordon’s girlfriend, Laura Leal, inside the home with a visible injury.
According to a police report obtained by WENN.com, Leal had a “slightly swollen bottom lip with dried blood” on her face.
Leal declined to press charges, but police arrested Gordon anyway.
Saturday’s incident marks the second time Gordon, 29, has been arrested for an alleged domestic dispute with Leal, who he has been dating for the past year. She declined to pursue the case against him on that occasion too.
Brown, who believes Gordon is responsible for his daughter’s death, has now reached out to Leal and offered her the services of his nonprofit organization, Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House, which was founded in 2015 to help victims of domestic violence.
“I personally would like to extend my hand to Ms. Leal and offer her services through our organization,” Brown told The Blast and Us Weekly. “I do not want to see any more families destroyed at the hands of domestic violence and I do not want any more women to suffer like my daughter did.
“Domestic violence killed my daughter and on March, 4 2018, the Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House held our first event to strike back at domestic violence. We are here to assist and we hope to hear from Ms. Leal.”
Gordon was found civilly liable for Bobbi Kristina’s death and ordered to pay $36 million to the 22-year-old’s estate in a 2016 wrongful death ruling. He has always denied allegations he physically assaulted her or gave her a cocktail of drugs before she was found unresponsive in a bathtub filled with water in early 2015.
Bobbi Kristina was taken off life support and died at a hospice on July 26, 2015.
