Bobby V is in legal trouble after a woman filed a police report charging him with rape. According to TMZ, the R&B singer was accused of rape by a woman in Cobb County, GA on Monday, March 19. The alleged rape occurred Sunday.
Bobby was the subject of ridicule last year when a male prostitute uploaded a video online accusing him of skipping out without paying for services rendered.
It isn’t clear if the Cobb County accuser is a biological woman.
Cops say they have an open investigation into the case, so they’re keeping details under wraps for now.
via TMZ — Bobby’s rep tells us they are pursuing legal action “against what appears to be a weak yet calculated attempt to obtain financial gain through ulterior motives in the matter.” The rep did not say the alleged victim requested money directly from Bobby, but called her version of events an apparent false report.
The rep added, “Bobby takes any allegation against women very seriously. However, false allegations damage true victims of sexual abuse.”
Bobby V is best known for his R&B ballads “Slow Down” (2005) and “Anonymous” (2007).
