dermatologist malpractice

A former patient of a dermatologist, who was unconscious on the operating table while the doctor danced over her, reached out to Channel 2 Action News after the doctor sent her a text begging for help.

Latoya Archine, of Louisiana, was on the table when Dr. Windell Boutte made her infamous music video, dancing and reciting lyrics from a rap song.

Archine told Channel 2’s Jim Strickland that Dr. Boutte disfigured her during the cosmetic procedure while the rap song “Cut It” played in the background.

Boutte filmed a video of herself mugging and cutting into Archine’s body while the music played.

The text in the video read, “Cut it is your song girlfriend. You did awesome.”

But Archine says she did not sign a release form giving the Gwinett-based dermatologist permission to post pictures or videos of Archine’s procedure on social media.

Archine said Dr. Boutte reached out to her via text message begging her for help after Channel 2 aired a report citing other patients who sued her for malpractice. But Archine contacted Strickland and showed him the doctor’s text messages.

“To see that video, with my flesh being cut, without a straight line, and dancing while cutting me? That’s horrible. I feel disrespected on a lot of levels,” Archine said.

“My right side is larger than my left,” she told Strickland.
