Julie Chen is standing by her man. The 48-year-old daytime TV host quit her job at CBS’ The Talk a week after her husband, Leslie Moonves, was fired as CBS president and CEO amid allegations of sexual misconduct.
Despite the allegations of womanizing, Chen remained fiercely loyal to her husband.
On Thursday’s episode of Big Brother’s live, she signed off as “Julie Chen Moonves.”
Rather than address her audience on her final day at work, Chen opted to record a videotaped message for Tuesday’s episode.
“I have been at The Talk since the day it started nine years ago, and the cast, crew and staff have become family to me over the years,” Chen said, tearfully.
“But right now, I need to spend more time at home with my husband and our young son. So I’ve decided to leave The Talk. I want to thank everyone at the show for our wonderful years together. I will always, always cherish the memories we shared.”
Chen also thanked the viewers “for allowing me into your home every day. It was a privilege that I will forever be grateful for.”
Chen joined The Talk when the show launched in 2010. She will continue to host CBS reality show Big Brother.
Question: Would you stand by your man if he cheated on you with a plethora of beautiful women?
