Jill Scott sat down with Podcast host Joe Budden to clear the air about her inappropriate sex act onstage during a live concert this week.
Scott, who has a history of failed relationships with men, was caught on video simulating sex using her microphone as a prop.
She denied reports that she routinely performs inappropriate sex acts during her shows.
But Scott promised that her future concerts will be invigorating, stimulating and emotional.
“It’s going to be a lot of feels,” the 46-year-old singer tells Budden. “This is what I do. I tell stories, I sing songs, I play music that invigorates. It sometimes stills people, sometimes I see them crying. It’s a range of emotions, you just have to be there.”
In response to the uproar to the viral video on Twitter on Tuesday, Scott tweeted:
“Hi. I sing/act out all kinds of stories. You should cum [sic] to my shows. After a Jill Scott show, most people get splendidly laid by whoever they came with… They also usually go on 2 happier, more productive, focused, wealthy lives.”
But many observers say Scott pulled a publicity stunt to promote her concerts. If so, her stunt worked.
