Perdue Chicken responded to rapper Nicki Minaj, left, using their company name as a slang term for “chicken head” in her beef with pop singer Miley Cyrus.
Nicki was furious after Miley dropped her name in a lyric on her track “Cattitude,” saying “I love you Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.”
The near career-ending diss was enough for Nicki to take a monthlong break from social media to plot her comeback.
Last week, Nicki finally responded to Miley’s diss by referring to the singer and rapper Cardi as chicken heads in an episode of her popular “Queen Radio” show.
“A Purdue chicken can never talk shit about queens,” Nicki said. “But I do notice a lot of Perdue chickens recently have been trying to say the queen’s name for clout. And that’s always been happening,” she said, referring to her rap rival Cardi B (pictured).
“And then the white girl cried and made a black girl seem like she was a bad guy. In the first place, she disrespected me in a magazine article for no reason,” Nicki said, referring to her feud with Miley that dates back to 2016.
Nicki also implied that Miley was a culture vulture who traded sex for tracks with music producer Mike WiLL Made-it, who produced Miley’s Bangerz album.
“I had just seen her after she was sucking Mike WiLL’s dick in the studio. You suck all that dick, only to come out like a Perdue f–king chicken on the stage and then got mad and went back to country music.”
Perdue took offense to Nicki including their free-range chickens in her beef with Miley. Perdue prides itself on raising veggie-fed chickens with no animal byproducts, such as beef.
The company @’d Nicki in a grammatically incorrect post on its official Twitter page, saying: “Thanks for the mention @NICKIMINAJ, but we don’t know nothing about beef.”
