The trailer for the much-anticipated Hustlers movie dropped on Wednesday. The trailer opens with the film’s leading lady, Jennifer Lopez imploring her fans to go to the theaters when the film premieres in September.
Judging by the trailer, the movie is a combination of Player’s Club, Set It Off and Ocean’s 8 all rolled into one. If you’ve seen those 3 movies, you’ve seen Hustlers.
Inspired by a New York Magazine article entitled, “The Hustlers at Scores“, Hustlers is based on a true story about a crew of former strip club workers who drugged and robbed wealthy Wall Street clients.
One true life victim lost $135,000 charged to his American Express card by a stripper at Scores in New York City. “It was sad – he actually thought he was dating the girl,” said one investigator. The news made headlines.
Other wealthy victims were spared the embarrassment by not revealing their losses.
Hustlers stars Lopez, Cardi B, Keke Palmer, Lizzo, Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Lili Reinhart, and R&B singer Usher Raymond.
