The newly formed Dunwoody Police Department has its first kidnapping case. The Dunwoody police, who received their badges on Tuesday and hit the streets for the first time Wednesday, are investigating the kidnapping of a suspected drug dealer.

At first I wasn’t going to post this information because there are too many holes in the story. But loyal reader Amberle cleared up some of the questions.

The wsbtv’s information was slightly incorrect. He isn’t Jamaican and his southern accent is not all Jamaican!!! And his nickname isn’t “cane” its “Kane” thats who everyone knows him as. And he isn’t 6’10 he’s 6’6-6’7. And ur right how did they do that? I honestly believe it was a set up amongst the women there. Triflin Atlanta women. I don’t understand how two robbers storm into his placed (which is always heavily secured) and just leave the women (who saw their faces) it doesn’t add up whatsoever.

From WSBTV.com:

The Dunwoody Police Department said they are looking for a man who was kidnapped from his apartment early Thursday morning.
Police said 32-year-old Kerry Lee Hayes was kidnapped from the Gables Apartments on Perimeter Center East just after 1 a.m. during a robbery attempt.

Witnesses on the scene told police two black males with Jamaican accents entered the apartment, demanded money, and kidnapped Hayes.
Hayes is originally from Jamaica and goes by the name “Cane.”

Officials said one of the suspects was armed with a semi-automatic pistol. The other suspect also was armed but there was no description of the weapon. Police continue to investigate.

If anyone has information about this crime, please call Dunwoody police at (678) 533-0737.
