It’s gotten to the point where people are tuning into Barack Obama’s televised pressers just to hear what ignorant statement he will say next.

During Wednesday night’s national press conference to push his lame duck health care reform bill, Obama said:

Right now, doctors a lot of times are forced to make decisions based on the fee payment schedule that’s out there. … the doctor may look at the reimbursement system and say to himself, ‘You know what? I make a lot more money if I take this kid’s tonsils out …

The American Academy of Otolaryngology, which represents 12,000 ear, nose, and throat surgeons in the U.S., reacted quickly to Obama’s false — and very misleading — accusation.

The organization reminded Obama that in most cases, tonsillectomy is the most cost effective alternative to leaving a child’s infected tonsils intact.

…the AAO-HNS is disappointed by the President’s portrayal of the decision making processes by the physicians who perform these surgeries. In many cases, tonsillectomy may be a more effective treatment, and less costly, than prolonged or repeated treatments for an infected throat. READ MORE…

I bet if a doctor suggested a tonsillectomy for one of Barack’s daughters, he wouldn’t hesitate to let the doctor take the tonsils out.

I’ll say it again: when all is said and done, Obama will be the worst president in United States history.
