Michael Jackson’s unrepentant former personal physician will spend the next 4 years in the LA County jail rather than in prison due to overcrowding in the state prison system.
Earlier today Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor sentenced Murray to the maximum the law allows for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Jackson, who was 50 when he died on June 25, 2009. Murray was accused of giving Jackson an infusion of Propofol, a surgical IV anesthetic that is usually administered only in a clinical setting under close supervision.
Referring to Murray as a “disgrace to the medical profession,” Pastor noted that it was irrelevant if Michael might have died in the care of another doctor. He said Jackson died because of the actions of Dr. Murray.
Murray’s attorney Ed Chernoff requested that Murray be sentenced to community service. But the judge denied the request. Chernoff said Jackson was a “drug seeker,” but he acknowledged that Murray was wrong for providing him with the drugs that killed him.
Unfornately Mr. Conrad was the dope pusher that dealt the lethal blow.
“Murray was wrong for providing him with the drugs that killed him.” Cause there were many that provided…..
Dont drop that soap doc. Its so many others that should be in prison right next to ya but I’m sure their out giving interviews screaming about justice was served.
Bye Uncle Ben. << boil in bag of rice.
*grabs 2 cups of rice for tonight’s dinner*
Conrad you need to spill the beans on everybody else that’s was giving MJ his “milk.” I wouldnt do down alone!
He won’t do the full four years, just half that, if that much but I agree he needed to serve some time. I think that if he’d shown just an ounce of actual remorse, if he’d admitted that he’d made mistakes and if he’d been truthful during the investigation he might have gotten off with the revocation of his medical license and probably probation but he lied, repeatedly, he brought that man’s children in there to see him dead, he hid evidence during the time that he should’ve been calling 911 AND he had the nerve to take on this attitude where he was the victim and Michael killed himself. I believe it was an accident (which equals malpractice) and I believe Michael was an addict who probably was manipulating drs to prescribe all this medicine (for which he should have never had in the first place hence avoiding being an addict) but hell, a street dealer could’ve handled the situation better than Murray did
I
for the kids though cause I can’t even imagine sitting there watching my father die with a dr who can’t do anything but call children and hide bottles by his side
Though I support this man having his medical license taken…I don’t necessarily support him being sentenced to time in jail….at least not jail time all by himself.
Everyone in that house (w/exception to the children) were enablers. That’s what they were hired to do……ENABLE.
His family, were enablers and so were his friends. The financial and other handsome perks allowed them to look the other way as well. No one in MJ’s circle should be above being held responsible.
But the sole person responsible, and his price has already been paid…is Michael Jackson himself.
I DO NOT support jail time for Conrad Murry.
@Ms Everything, I agree w/you. He got sentenced the max amount of time,(he won’t serve all), but’s it’s who died that was the issue.
I don’t really understand why people are defending Conrad Murry. As a medical professional, he new the potential consequences of his actions by giving michael prescription drugs that he didn’t really know the side effects of. Like really? he could have easily said no, or better yet, gotten Michael a sleep specialist.
When crackheads die of overdoses, the dope man never goes to jail or is held responsible…
I can see Conrad getting charged with negligence and tampering with evidence…but murder…
MJ killed himself IMO….
I totally agree with Genia & Chiby.
Murray should NOT be going to jail. Revocation of license, probation, maybe even some malpractice suit- fine. Jail….
….please.
I can see every crackhead bringing a lawsuit against their supplier as we speak.
I wouldnt do down alone

I hope he doesnt have to serve the entire 4 years. Give him 12-5 months and let it be done.
MJ was suicidal and if nothing else, this trial definitely proved that.
if the dopeman was caught he’d go to jail bc dope is what illegal, i don’t see the correlation, but that’s just me i guess
bc others enabled or helped in mj’s demise doesn’t diminish conrad’s part or his culpability. he just happened to be the one on jail. do right and u won’t end up in a mess like that.

I think most just want to understand if any liability should be geared at the deceased. Mr. Conrad could have been anyone who got manuipulated by their rich famous client. I thought for him to lose his license for life was punishment, along w/the fact that he will always be refered to the Dr. who killed Michael Jackson.
Anna exactly cause Murray is not the first dr to kill a patient with prescriptions they should’ve never had, but he’s one of the few that’s gonna see jail time and real consequences behind it. But this trial combined with all the mess that came out when Anna Nicole Smith died is going to cause alot of doctors to really look at their practices and what they’re prescribing to who. Hell, even when I was on the medications that I was on for medical reason I still had certain dr’s who would try to pump me full of all kinds of random drugs than backpedal when I got sick from them and then other drs who wouldn’t prescribe me what I needed for fear of the repercussions. The courts are not playing with these dr’s who are prescribing drugs for the money anymore so on one hand all of this coming out and happening is a good thing

Google Dr. Kervorkian.
He was held responsible and his patients stated on video tape and written documents that they WANTED to die due to terminal illnesses.
If Dr. Kervokian could be convicted of murder there is no way that Dr. Murray ISN’T a murderer.
CONRAD SHOULD NOT BE THE ONLY ONE GOING TO JAIL… A PART OF ME THINKS U CANT BLAME THE DR. FOR WHAT MJ BEEN DOING WAAAY BEFORE HIM AND IF WE GOING TO BLAME CONRAD BRING IN HIS SECURITY HIS COOK THE MO’FUKAS THAT ENABLE MJ ALL THESE YEARS
BUT THE MJ FAN PART OF ME SAY “4 YRS ONLY FOR A LIFE” BUT THEN AGAIN LIKE SASSY SAY EVERY CRACK HEAD GOING TO THINKG THEY GOT A CASE AN ADDICT IS AN ADDICT
**tries to dodge bullets***
@Chi and Dougie.. umm actually in some cases they will track down the dealer and prosecute them for overdoses but I think it’s usually when the drugs are mixed with something they shouldn’t be mixed with or mixed wrong and the whole batch is bad so there’ll be a string of od’s at once. But
you expect drug dealers to do stuff like this, not a medical dr who took an oath not to harm. Plus it wasn’t what he did that got him locked up, it’s what he did after the fact and who he did it to
in some cases they will track down the dealer and prosecute them for overdoses
especially if it’s that brown…

True, and I do think Michael was an addict. However, when you go to Medical school they make it very known to you the ways you can lose your license. Giving someone unnessary prescription drugs is one of the ways. As a doctor, Conrad was being negligent point blank. I mean who wants a doctor to give you a whole bunch of drugs in which they don’t know really know the outcome from.
Candi!!!!!!

Hide me. I think I broke my buddie’s wheelchair this weekend.
were u poppin wheelies in it again?!

It depends on who their famous daddy is. Archie Bunker’s son died of a self inflicked gunshot wound, but his dealer was arrested for making him hooked on drugs for 16 yrs. I don’t know what became of the dealer, this happend in 1995.

Actually you are right…he owned his own practice. He actually closed down the second practice to work soley for Michael Jackson. IMO…that is when his talents in medicine became less about saving lives…and became more about the money. When he moved into Michael’s house…it became about profit. He became an EMPLOYEE.
I am not saying Conrad is innocent and should not be held responsible…I do however find issue with him being the sole person held accountable. I think everyone (brothers and sisters, parents, staff members) should be held, responsible to certain exstint. THEY ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE. Pursecuting Conrad Murry helps distract that FACT.
Yes.
I don’t think that’s what did it though.
he’ll be out in about 9 months
county time double, for every one day, he will get two, so now we at 2 yrs and the to do a 3rd of that go figure, good behavior 3 months tops, with a lil probation
@GG Said: Pursecuting Conrad Murry helps distract that FACT.
And that was their SOLE INTENT from the very beginning of This Trial… To PUT A BLACK-FACE on DISPLAY as the Killer of Michael “The KING of POP” Jackson (MISSION ACCOMPLISHED…)
We might as well start putting Plastic Surgeons in jail for disfiguring their patients. And it shouldn’t matter that the patients wanted the surgery…..the are medically trained professionals who should know how and when to recognize a patients addiction to plastic surgery.
Jocelyn Wildenstein, Donatella Versace, lets round up their Doctors and charge them with assult. IJS
Anna I forgot about that… he got a law passed allowing families of drug addicts or anyone else personally affected by a dealer to sue for medical bills and other stuff like that
in my honest opinion dealers (illegal and legal) are up there with pedophiles as far as people who should be shot in the nuts and executed on sight, no questions asked
Sup SR Fam – took some time out from lurking to say, as an MJ fan, that this dude did what he was paid to do and got the short end of the stick. MJ was a druggie… sad but true. And even though he lost his license, he’ll probably end up in Brazil or Mexico giving butt injections…
Guess what??!!!
you guys are not going to believe this…..are you ready???? I’m so excited i am bursting at the seams!!
are you ready!!!
……. ………………… THERE IS A BEY POST UP
this is what i despise abt the justice system. vick did hard time for violence to an animal. this fukka took a human life but he gone chill in county tho.
at least the jury did their job this time

or practising in Trinidad and Tobago
Also there is a 120 million dollar restitution order put in by the prosecutors to keep Dr Murray from benefiting from any book or movie deals. That’s 100 million in the projected profits from the concert that MJ was suppose to do and 2 million plus interest from the funeral costs.
Poor Dr. (I mean Mr.) Murray. Even though his actions was not intentional, he knew deep down in side that this could kill Mike if it got out of hand.
I strongly feel that no parent should have to bury their child, so I hope that Katherine and Joe are comforted.
