Why do men punch walls out of frustration? I posed this question to my male followers on Twitter.com last night after news broke that the NY Knicks star was treated in the lockeroom by paramedics for punching something.
It turned out that Stoudemire required 15 stitches after punching a fire extinguisher case in the hall outside the Knicks’ locker room.
Stoudemire was clearly frustrated after his team dropped a 2nd straight game to the blazing Miami Heat in the first round of the Eastern conference playoffs last night in Miami. Stoudemire will probably be out for the first round — and maybe the rest of the playoffs.
Stoudemire saw a hand specialist on Tuesday, who determined he suffered no ligament or tendon damage, according to ESPN.
But didn’t he consider his job, his paycheck, his teammates or his fans before he hauled off and punched the case?
The best answer my male followers could give me last night was it is better to punch a wall than to punch a woman. Yes, they implied that women are the main cause of their inner aggressions.

Stupidity
I know a chick that would do that but wouldnt bust a grape in a real fight
Well I did something similar the other day. I got so mad i kicked a cabinet and broke it. Afterwards I felt so stupid
But i can definitely understand how people get angry and need to release.
Cuz they are little boys and not MEN! My ex used to do that stupid immature chit!
Is he still dating Ciara?

No…He back with his babymama…
I’d rather someone punch a wall than me.
I can understand directing physical reactions at inanimate objects but not if you’re performing a job that requires the use of your hands…
Smh Amare is just stupid :
Punching the wall was just as dumb as him getting them braids in his hair… LET IT GO BRUH
He’s going through alot of emotions outside of playing basketball so I’m sure between that and loosing he let his emotions get the best of him. Chit happens, hopefully he will see the error in his ways and keep it moving

Exactly. I worked at a boy’s jail years ago, and every day I was sending a kid to Grady to set a broken hand. I guess some boys never grow up.

Auntie quoted my thoughts?!?!
Awww sooki sooki now…your girl famous and chit….
I think he was just trying to get as far away from that azz-whoopin the Heat giving them as possible. That way he can blame it on Melo and say “If I was still on the court…..”. I need to see some more blood because what they showed on ESPN was laughable.
Where is everyone?
I’m all lonely and chit….
That was dumb…*back to the nasty post*
@Awesome

How are you doing?
NEWSFLASH Amar’e….your entire team is frustrated but you don’t see them throwin’ the towel in…which is essentially what he has done.
He wanted a way out.
He knew with the Knicks being down 2 games it would be damn near impossible for them to come back & beat the Heat.
He knew that they were going to lose and he didn’t want the pressure to perform because the pressure was and IS going to be TREMENDOUS.
