Kanye West is making believers out of people who initially laughed at Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
While Democrats and Republicans have written off Kanye’s campaign, Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner said Democrats and Republicans would be foolish to ignore Kanye.
“Democrats cannot ignore him because he could split the vote,” she told Page Six. “No one can ignore a black candidate, even though they may think whatever they think about Kanye,” she said.
Trump, a former reality TV star, drew laughter and ridicule when he announced his intentions to run for president. He shocked the world when he beat the odds-on-favorite, Hillary Clinton, to win the 2016 election.
Faulkner says Kanye could pull off a similar November surprise by siphoning off Democratic votes from Joe Biden.
“They kind of have to keep an eye on him because he’s going to pop up on the ballot in certain places and they better hope it’s not in a swing state,” Faulkner said.
She added the GOP “can’t ignore him either,” because Trump and Kanye are pals and Kanye has already hinted that he would act as spoiler to Biden’s campaign.
